Like the Ruchots this is intensely floral with an attractive mix of both upper and lower register aromas that include red berry fruit, dark currant, earth and underbrush scents all of which are trimmed in a soft touch of wood. There is good richness and volume to the lightly mineral-inflected middle weight plus flavors that possess an abundance of dry extract that coats the mouth and buffers the moderately firm tannic spine. This should amply reward 12 to 15 years of cellar time.
