A moderately toasty nose displays prominent but not dominant oak influence that still allows the openly spicy nose of black cherry, raspberry and exotic tea aromas to be appreciated. There is a sophisticated and refined mouth feel to the middle weight plus flavors that brim with palate coating dry extract that concludes in a dusty, balanced and notably firm but not hard finish. This too should be approachable with only a few years of cellaring yet be capable of rewarding 12 to 15 years of bottle age.
