The 2013 Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru, which is raised in 50% new oak, has a charming and quite sophisticated bouquet in the making, with scents of lemon peel, lanolin and walnut emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with lime cordial and citrus lemon on the entry. This feels harmonious in the mouth, quite tensile, with a precise finish that you would expect from a much more famous exponent of the hill. This is definitely worth seeking out.
