The 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers was showing some reduction on the nose, which on this occasion was difficult to get through. The palate is balanced with juicy tannin, slightly pinched red fruit, linear in style but with adequate freshness on the truncated finish. It does not quite possess the breeding of its peers, but it should age well.
